National Coming Out Day
It's national coming out day. This day is always bittersweet for me. I'm so proud to be out and living this amazing life in the open, but my heart breaks for all of you who don't feel safe or comfortable enough to come out just yet. I feel for you and I want you to know that you are loved, you are desired, and you are welcomed with open arms.
Many people have asked me over the years what my sexuality is. I married a man first and then a woman. Everyone wonders am I straight, am I gay, was I just confused the first time? No. I wasn't confused in my sexuality, I was confused in my place in life. I'm still attracted to men, I'm still attracted to women, and I'm also attracted to everything else on the gender spectrum. I'm not going through a girl phase, my ex husband wasn't a guy phase. I'm not bisexual. I don't feel the need to limit myself or label myself but since people need something to call me: I am pansexual. Gender is not a factor in my attraction to people. Who they are as a human being determines how I see them not whats between their legs.
